94: The Consolation (سُورَةُ الشَّرۡحِ)

1	Have We not expanded thee thy breast?- بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ألم نشرح لك صدرك Alam nashrah laka sadrak
2	And removed from thee thy burden ووضعنا عنك وزرك Wa wa d’ana ‘anka wizrak
3	The which did gall thy back?- الذي أنقض ظهرك Allazee anqada zahrak
4	And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)? ورفعنا لك ذكرك Wa raf ‘ana laka zikrak
5	So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief: فإن مع العسر يسرا Fa inna ma’al usri yusra
6	Verily, with every difficulty there is relief. إن مع العسر يسرا Inna ma’al ‘usri yusra
7	Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard, فإذا فرغت فانصب Fa iza faragh ta fansab
8	And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention. وإلى ربك فارغب Wa ilaa rabbika far ghab
