55: The Beneficent (سُورَةُ الرَّحۡمَٰن)

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الرحمن
Ar Rahmaan

![]() It is He Who has taught the Qur’an.
علم القرآن
‘Allamal Quran
|
3 |
![]() He has created man:
خلق الإنسان
Khalaqal insaan
|
4 |
![]() He has taught him speech (and intelligence).
علمه البيان
‘Allamalhul bayaan
|
5 |
![]() The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed;
الشمس والقمر بحسبان
Ashshamsu walqamaru bihusbaan
|
6 |
![]() And the herbs and the trees – both (alike) prostrate in adoration.
والنجم والشجر يسجدان
Wannajmu washshajaru yasjudan
|
7 |
![]() And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),
والسماء رفعها ووضع الميزان
Wassamaaa’a rafa’ahaa wa wada’al Meezan
|
8 |
![]() In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance.
ألا تطغوا في الميزان
Allaa tatghaw fil meezaan
|
9 |
![]() So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance.
وأقيموا الوزن بالقسط ولا تخسروا الميزان
Wa aqeemul wazna bilqisti wa laa tukhsirul meezaan
|
10 |
![]() It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures:
والأرض وضعها للأنام
Wal arda wada’ahaa lilanaame
|
11 |
![]() Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates);
فيها فاكهة والنخل ذات الأكمام
Feehaa faakihatunw wan nakhlu zaatul akmaam
|
12 |
![]() Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants.
والحب ذو العصف والريحان
Walhabbu zul ‘asfi war Raihaanu
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
|
14 |
![]() He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery,
خلق الإنسان من صلصال كالفخار
Khalaqal insaana min salsaalin kalfakhkhaari
|
15 |
![]() And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke:
وخلق الجان من مارج من نار
Wa khalaqal jaaan mim maarijim min naar
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
|
17 |
![]() (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests:
رب المشرقين ورب المغربين
Rabbul mashriqayni wa Rabbul maghribayni
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
|
19 |
![]() He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together:
مرج البحرين يلتقيان
Marajal bahrayni yalta qiyaani
|
20 |
![]() Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress:
بينهما برزخ لا يبغيان
Bainahumaa barzakhul laa yabghiyaan
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
|

![]() Out of them come Pearls and Coral:
يخرج منهما اللؤلؤ والمرجان
Yakhruju minhumal lu ‘lu u wal marjaanu
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
|
24 |
![]() And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains:
وله الجوار المنشآت في البحر كالأعلام
Wa lahul jawaaril mun sha’aatu fil bahri kal a’laam
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
26 |
![]() All that is on earth will perish:
كل من عليها فان
Kullu man ‘alaihaa faan
|
27 |
![]() But will abide (for ever) the Face of thy Lord,- full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour.
ويبقى وجه ربك ذو الجلال والإكرام
Wa yabqaa wajhu rabbika zul jalaali wal ikraam
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
29 |
![]() Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine)!
يسأله من في السماوات والأرض ۚ كل يوم هو في شأن
Yas’aluhoo man fissamaawaati walard; kulla ywmin huwa fee shaan
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
31 |
![]() Soon shall We settle your affairs, O both ye worlds!
سنفرغ لكم أيه الثقلان
Sanafrughu lakum ayyuhas saqalaan
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
33 |
![]() O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!
يا معشر الجن والإنس إن استطعتم أن تنفذوا من أقطار السماوات والأرض فانفذوا ۚ لا تنفذون إلا بسلطان
Yaa ma’sharal jinni wal insi inis tata’tum an tanfuzoo min aqtaaris samaawaati wal ardi fanfuzoo; laa tanfuzoona illaa bisultaan

فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
35 |
![]() On you will be sent (O ye evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defence will ye have:
يرسل عليكما شواظ من نار ونحاس فلا تنتصران
Yursalu ‘alaikumaa shuwaazum min naarifiw-wa nuhaasun falaa tantasiraan

فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

![]() When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment:
فإذا انشقت السماء فكانت وردة كالدهان
Fa-izan shaqqatis samaaa’u fakaanat wardatan kaddihaan
|
38 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
39 |
![]() On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sin.
فيومئذ لا يسأل عن ذنبه إنس ولا جان
Fa-yawma’izil laa yus’alu ‘an zambiheee insunw wa laa jaann
|
40 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
41 |
![]() (For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet.
يعرف المجرمون بسيماهم فيؤخذ بالنواصي والأقدام
Yu’raful mujrimoona biseemaahum fa’yu’khazu binna waasi wal aqdaam
|
42 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
43 |
![]() This is the Hell which the Sinners deny:
هذه جهنم التي يكذب بها المجرمون
Haazihee jahannamul latee yukazzibu bihal mujrimoon
|
44 |
![]() In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round!
يطوفون بينها وبين حميم آن
Yatoofoona bainahaa wa baina hameemim aan
|
45 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
46 |
![]() But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens-
ولمن خاف مقام ربه جنتان
Wa liman khaafa maqaama rabbihee jannataan
|
47 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
48 |
![]() Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);-
ذواتا أفنان
Zawaataaa afnaan
|
49 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
50 |
![]() In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free);
فيهما عينان تجريان
Feehimaa ‘aynaani tajriyaan
|
51 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
52 |
![]() In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two.
فيهما من كل فاكهة زوجان
Feehimaa min kulli faakihatin zawjaan
|
53 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
54 |
![]() They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach).
متكئين على فرش بطائنها من إستبرق ۚ وجنى الجنتين دان
Muttaki’eena ‘alaa furushim bataaa’inuhaa min istabraq; wajanal jannataini daan

فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

56 |
![]() In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
فيهن قاصرات الطرف لم يطمثهن إنس قبلهم ولا جان
Feehinna qaasiratut tarfi lam yatmishunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

![]() Like unto Rubies and coral.
كأنهن الياقوت والمرجان
ka annahunnal yaaqootu wal marjaan
|
59 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
60 |
![]() Is there any Reward for Good – other than Good?
هل جزاء الإحسان إلا الإحسان
Hal jazaaa’ul ihsaani illal ihsaan
|

![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
62 |
![]() And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,-
ومن دونهما جنتان
Wa min doonihimaa jannataan
|
63 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
64 |
![]() Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering).
مدهامتان
Mudhaaammataan
|
65 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
66 |
![]() In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance:
فيهما عينان نضاختان
Feehimaa ‘aynaani nad daakhataan
|
67 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
68 |
![]() In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates:
فيهما فاكهة ونخل ورمان
Feehimaa faakihatunw wa nakhlunw wa rummaan
|
69 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
70 |
![]() In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;-
فيهن خيرات حسان
Feehinna khairaatun hisaan
|
71 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
72 |
![]() Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;-
حور مقصورات في الخيام
Hoorum maqsooraatun fil khiyaam
|
73 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
74 |
![]() Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
لم يطمثهن إنس قبلهم ولا جان
Lam yatmis hunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann
|
75 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
76 |
![]() Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty.
متكئين على رفرف خضر وعبقري حسان
Muttaki’eena ‘alaa rafratin khudrinw wa ‘abqariyyin hisaan
|
77 |
![]() Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
|
78 |
![]() Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour.
تبارك اسم ربك ذي الجلال والإكرام
Tabaarakasmu Rabbika Zil-Jalaali wal-Ikraam
